these video blogs have become terrible
there’s no more dana playing pranks on his employees!
Trust Doesn't Rust - January 10, 2012
you can feel the tension when they take the gloves off
thats something new, and something non of us will get to see.. really captures the moment
elmojo - January 10, 2012
They have gotten bad.
Needs more DW.
mma.ly - January 10, 2012
Sarcasm?
Diz D - January 10, 2012
This was a poor vlog, hope the next one is better
Patrick Hughes - January 10, 2012
I liked it. I like about any genuine behind the scenes footage. The pranks and stuff feel fake.
Matthi - January 10, 2012
I’d much rather see all this behind the scenes footage than Dana high fiving fans and sitting in his office talking to Mike Tyson. That stuff was ok but this is much better. How can anyone complain about this? We got all that “Dana’s daily routine” stuff in past Vblogs; I say the format change is refreshing.
Machiel Van - January 10, 2012
All I know
is I don’t ever need to see 8 mins. of Lorenzo and Dana hitting golf balls off of a roof again. THAT was the worst Vblog ever.
Machiel Van - January 10, 2012
What the fuck was that wispy little emo thing walking next to Brock @ 1:34
It looks like some little hot topic vampire taking his ogre out for a stroll.
menckenstein - January 10, 2012
damn
you beat me to the question
the guy with the big nose - January 10, 2012
I doubt we get a legit answer to that question, but it would be fun.
Machiel Van - January 10, 2012
we looks like a stylist or something
Our Bovine Public - January 10, 2012
as MMA becomes more mainstream
we better get used to stylists in a fighters corner
the guy with the big nose - January 10, 2012
It's an assault charge waiting to happen.
UncleMax - January 10, 2012
Wood Elf Mage that needs to be removed from the party
His protection spells aren’t worth shit.
Damon O. - January 11, 2012
I hold a certain value to these vlogs as a mma fan and some one whom thinks about all aspects of the sport/ business...
RECE ROCK - January 10, 2012
BTS footage is awesome
always looking forward to these after an event.
btw, who’s that skinny hipster guy with the briefcase that’s been hanging around lesnar? saw him on the latest “the reem” episode too. he looks so misplaced around lesnar.
the guy with the big nose - January 10, 2012
also
the shot when you see both the winner and looser, like vladdy/gus and fitch/hendricks was pretty cool
the guy with the big nose - January 10, 2012
Agreed, cool perspective.
I like these BTS vlogs. UFC does so much stuff with high production value, I think people feel like this is just strung together, and it probably is by comparison. White is running around like a maniac doing all sorts of who knows what along with the TUF stuff he mentioned at the beginning, all while preparing to get out of country to run a huge event. Even with assistants and planning, that shit doesn’t come easy; so unless you want more of Dana filming himself while swerving down the strip, I think we best enjoy what we’re getting.
SteveevaD - January 10, 2012
LMAO @ the Brock Lesnar part at the ending
8:14-8:59
They transitioned right from Brock walking to the octagon thinking he would crash Alistair straight into him walking back into the locker room in defeat.
Elitex10x - January 10, 2012
I liked that
and I REALLY wanted to see the cutaway to Dana during the fight like they do for some of these vlogs…showing his reaction to some of thea main event stuff.
Chris Groves - January 10, 2012
Great Behind The Scenes
Footage. I laughed out loud when Dana was telling the Diaz corner to be cool, be cool everybody. The look of relief on his face when he said ok they just hugged. Classic.
CRWHITLOCK - January 10, 2012
what did he say before "be cool"? can't make it out
the guy with the big nose - January 10, 2012
"you need to get up there with the ref"
“he’s gonna call it right now” “get up there with the ref”
merryprankster - January 10, 2012
good catch, thanks
the guy with the big nose - January 10, 2012
Loved the angle that showed Janitor and Gustafsson
Perfect yin yang moment there.
menckenstein - January 10, 2012
I guess they did it for everyone? The video keeps crapping out on me thanks to my workplace messing with streaming video.
menckenstein - January 10, 2012
Yeah, especially with Gustafsson's corner laughing
about how Vladdy “walked right into the jab and knocked himself out”, and Vlad just sitting there forlorn right around the corner.
Scott Haber - January 10, 2012
Yeah I really liked this video
But that angle with those two, and with Fitch and Hendricks, was incredible.
Lauren J Darkbloom - January 10, 2012
This is about the best sort of video blog you can hope for.
Less Dana, more random MMA minutia.
UncleMax - January 10, 2012
Reading this thread, it seems like what would satisfy everyone is a mixture of both: behind the scenes footage from fight night, preceded by the “old” style of Vblog featuring Dana in the offices, with his kids, pranks etc. Maybe just make them longer? I wouldn’t mind a bit of both.
Machiel Van - January 10, 2012
People exist that actually like seeing Dana playing pranks etc? That’s horrific.
UncleMax - January 10, 2012
Maybe if there were pranks being played on Dana himself?
Machiel Van - January 10, 2012
I like this genuine behind the scenes stuff way better. Not too interested in seeing fans beg Dana for tickets and thank him for what he’s done, etc. Pranks and kids can go to hell too!
Horselover Fat - January 10, 2012
Maybe cause im on my phone...
But I can’t hear any intelligible words. The conversation I could hear properly was Hendricks talking to Rogan about trust-falls on Tosh.0..
I_Mad - January 10, 2012 via mobile
its weird that Rogan said he's never seen Tosh.0 since he was in an episode of it
darkotto23 - January 10, 2012
i think they were talking about a specific episode.
Victor Rodriguez - January 10, 2012
Hendricks said "you don't watch daniel tosh?"
to which rogan responded “no I don’t”
darkotto23 - January 10, 2012
didn’t hear that part. my headphones didn’t let it go past mumbling level, so i couldn’t make that part out.
Victor Rodriguez - January 10, 2012
This was not as good as previous vblogs....
…for me because you couldn’t hear the conversations above the arena music.
But I love the behind the scenes stuff.
Luke Nelson - January 10, 2012
Johnny Hendricks sounds so...
sensitive? And did they really have end it with Brock doing the walk of failure?
SentientAndroid - January 10, 2012
"did they really have end it with Brock doing the walk of failure"
Why not? It happened, right? It’s interesting.
UncleMax - January 10, 2012
Think I slightly misread what you wrote, thought you were questioning it.
UncleMax - January 10, 2012
Nah I wasn’t questioning it, just thinking that it was kinda messed up, but it did happen, so *eh.
SentientAndroid - January 11, 2012
when overeem rolls his neck
entire planets are destryed.
gspmademegay - January 10, 2012
yeah, i said 'destryed.'
gspmademegay - January 10, 2012
Yeah
AO looked pretty damn scary.
SentientAndroid - January 10, 2012
I like the bts footage at first
But now I get it. Winners are happy, losers are sad
Our Bovine Public - January 10, 2012
And fighters who draw are somewhat content.
SentientAndroid - January 10, 2012
what does dana say to nate? something somethign be cool!
gxc - January 10, 2012
no idea
but nate responded with YES SIR.
i guess nate and nick aren’t quite alike
UncleMax - January 10, 2012
i watched again he says
DW " get up there with the ref..be cool be cool!"
ND"yessir"
DW"okcool they hugged"
gxc - January 10, 2012
haha DW looks so nervous
afraid of one of those things that sometimes happen in MMA maybe?
the guy with the big nose - January 10, 2012
That was my favorite moment as it seemed like Dana was nervous that some sort of post fight shenanigans may happen between Cerrone and Diaz.
chrisbboy82 - January 10, 2012
Does anyone find it funny that they have the Diaz-Condit Commercial on when they have the camera on Fitch?
MMA214 - January 10, 2012
The biggest WTF moment of that whole video for me, Nick Diaz says ‘please’.
MMAussie - January 10, 2012
i was hiding in that locker at 3:57.
but seriously, who is that guy with the hair carrying the briefcase with Lesnar?
