As with every major show, Bloody Elbow will be here to bring you live results, play by play and commentary for UFC on FX: Guillard vs. Miller. Our live coverage will start with the Fuel TV prelim broadcast (6 p.m. ET) and through the FX main card broadcast (9 p.m. ET) so make sure to make Bloody Elbow your home for this event.
This post will cover live results and thoughts for the main card on FX.
In the evening's main event, Melvin Guillard meets Jim Miller in a lightweight battle. Holder of the UFC's fastest knockout, Duane Ludwig, faces Josh Neer in a welterweight scrap. Bantamweights Mike Easton and Jared Papazian will meet on the FX broadcast. Opening up the main card action will be a heavyweight fight featuring Pat Barry and Christian Morecraft.

The FX broadcast is live.
Pat Barry vs. Christian Morecraft - Round 1 - Morecraft throwing some slow punches early, but at least throign them straight and long. Barry throws a kick, Morecraft catches him, takes him down and is working toward his back. He's locking in a choke but the angle isn't good so he gives up and Barry manages to get back to standing. Hard jab by Barry. Leg kick by Barry. Morecraft charging in for a takedown against the cage and gets it. Right into mount again. Morecraft tried for an arm triangle. Barry gives up the back and Morecraft takes and arm but Barry gets through it and stands up. Huge left hook by Barry and Morecraft is down. Too slow on the stoppage as Barry lands several more hard shots to Morecraft and he's out cold. Pat Barry wins by KO (punches), Round 1.
Mike Easton vs. Jared Papazian - Round 1 - They clinch up and trade a bunch of punches in some sort of ugly recreation of Frye vs. Takayama. Easton pushes Papazian into the cage. Papazian with an elbow in the clinch and he turns Easton. Another elbow in the clinch, and another. Papazian turns him into the cage again. Easton turns him around. Papazian with a few punches and then turns him again. They trade leg kicks. Wild right hand by Papazian misses. Easton lands in a flurry, avoiding the return shots. Close round so far. Left hand gets in for Easton on the counter. Spinning back kick by Easton is blocked and he eats a punch. Left hand by Easton. Round ends with them flurrying in the clinch and Papazian getting the better of it. Good round but I'd give a slight edge to Easton.
Round 2 - Papazian with a nice combination right away. Leg kick by Easton. Nice combo by Papazian again. Easton with a left that gets in. Both guys having their moments this round again. Nice right hand by Papazian and a spinning back kick to the side. Easton pushing forward but Papazian turns him into the cage. Easton manages a trip takedown against the cage and lands a few left hands. Papazian manages to stand up fairly quickly. Easton with a knee to the body, one in return by Papazian and he gets out to distance again. Left hand by Easton and he gets another takedown 10-9 Easton.
Round 3 - Both guys landing shots early and Papazian gets the better of it. Brief break as Papazian took a shot to the cup but only for a few seconds. Easton trying to get a takedown and can't get it. Jab by Papazian. Hard left by Easton and Papazian takes it. Papazian is getting the better of it other than the left hook in the middle of the round. Papazian with a big uppercut and a lot of follow ups and the round ends. 10-9 Papazian but I have it 29-28 Easton.

Josh Neer vs. Duane Ludwig - Round 1 - They're trading shots and Ludwig lands and Neer's legs buckle. Neer clinches up and pushes him into the cage. Ludwig defending very well against the takedown and he lands a nice knee. Ludwing landing right hands and a knee to the body that hurts Neer. Neer lost his mouthpiece so they break. Right hand by Ludwig and a good body shot and a shot to the face. Left hand by Ludwig. Another gerat right hand and knees to the body. Ludwig is working him over. Neer manages to get the takedown finally. Neer locks in a deep guillotine and Ludwig goes out. That's a shame. Josh Neer wins by technical submission (guillotine choke), 3:04 round 1.
Melvin Guillard vs. Jim Miller - Round 1 - Guillard testing out s flying knees early. Miller gets caught and hurt badly. He's trying to hold on and get Melvin to the ground. Guillard is really tagging him. Miller appears to have recovered but Melvin was really hurting him there. Melvin misses the high kick. Miller pushes him into the cage. Melvin lands a right hand but Miller lands one in return. Flying knee by Guillard allows Miller to take him down. Miller quickly to mount, now takes the back. Melvin stands up but Miller is still on the back. Body triangle, rear naked choke, submission. Jim Miller wins by submission (rear naked choke), round 1.

Melvin threw those flying knees like way too recklessly.
He threw them with no setup, and threw them half half-heartedly at that. Guillard needs to step into a boxing gym and train all of his striking there for at least a year, because his striking technically sucks regardless of the power he packs.

His recklessness brings down the overall quality of his standup, especially on the defensive side.
He leaves way too many openings for his opponents, the elite guys, to capitalize on. His last three losses were directly the result of him throwing careless strikes against guys he should have out matched. Guillard’s problem is not his TD, it’s not using his striking as efficiently has he possibly can against high level opponents.
Power and speed is great to have, but if you don’t use it wisely, it will lull you into a false sense of security against a supposedly inferior athlete who is highly skilled.

Lauzon would be on a 5 fight streak and his quality of competition has been going up. Pettis looked good against stephens, but you’re definitely right about him not getting a shot too soon.
Diaz has looked great since his return to LW and ending Cerrone’s streak is a big win.
