Two featherweights who know each other quite well by now, will lock horns another time in Sydney, Australia this March at UFC on FX 2, as a rematch is slated between Robert Peralta and Mackens Semerzier. UFC.com with the announcement:

Also at 145 pounds, featherweight contenders Mackens Semerzier and Robbie Peralta will go at it once more after their previous bout at UFC on FOX 1 ended up as a no-contest due to an accidental head-butt.

As the blurb states, the two men originally faced off in Anaheim in November at UFC on Fox 1. The fight was stopped at 1:54 of the third round after Peralta seemingly rocked Semerzier and then finished him off with strikes on the ground for the TKO win. However, replays indicated that it was an accidental clash of heads that first rocked Semerzier before Peralta pounced for the finish, and although the referee missed it originally, a subsequent appeal by Semerzier's camp to the California State Athletic Commission was successful and the result was changed to a No Contest.

Here's the UFC on FX 2 card as it currently stands, scheduled for March 3rd, 2012:

-Thiago Alves vs. Martin Kampmann
-Joseph Benavidez vs. Yasuhiro Urushitani - UFC flyweight tournament
-Demetrious Johnson vs. Ian McCall - UFC flyweight tournament

I’m glad Semerzier got a rematch. It seemed like the controversy of that fight got drowned out by the commotion concerning the main event.

Yes, now mackens can avenge that headbutt. Fun fact, I actually have mack as a friend on xbox live

Nice, it was a pretty exciting bout and the headbutt was definitely responsbile for the way it ended. Glad to see them go at it again.
