Mike Easton made his UFC debut at UFC Live: Cruz vs Johnson late in 2011 in his hometown of Washington, D.C. Easton impressed the crowd with a second round stoppage over Byron Bloodworth. The arena was clearly behind the hometown hero. He followed up that victory with another, this time over Jared Papazian at UFC on FX: Guillard vs Miller. It was a hard fought decision that showcased Easton's ability to dig deep and find a way to win. His opponent in Virginia is no stranger to the octagon.
Yves Jabouin followed many of his WEC peers to the UFC when the companies merged in 2011. Unsuccessful in his first fight, Jabouin made the decision to drop to Bantamweight in his next fight. Facing Ian Loveland, Jabouin earned a split decision in Rio de Janeiro at UFC 134. He continued his winning streak with a split decision win over Waled Watson in a fight that was back and forth for the full 15 minutes.
Both fighters are on two fight win streaks in the UFC and a win at UFC on Fuel 3 would elevate either fighter to the top 15 of the division. With Easton being a D.C. native, expect the crowd to heavily favor the team Lloyd Irvin member.

This should be a fun fight. Jabouin is a very good striker, and Easton has massive power. I will go with Easton to win this one.

massive power? easton stood toe to toe with his last opponent landing tons of clean strikes never to hurt him once

Jared Papazian is a pretty tough guy, and he has never lost by strikes in his MMA career.

Yves has poor cardio. Yves has a poor ground game. Easton is by no means a poor striker, and will capitalize on a faded yves for the sub in round 2/3

Mike Easton is going to act like a beast leading up to the fight
Then outpoint his opponent to a decision while getting hit clean a couple time himself.

Tough fight to call
Easton will likely be riding another wave of hype when he returns to D.C. and Jabouin arguably lost the Walel Watson decision.
Split decision either way, me thinks.

Should be a badass fight

Should be a fun fight. I'd probably take Easton by decision.
