There have been a lot of inquiries to our writers as to what methods are available to watch UFC on Fuel TV tonight. The show is main evented by a very solid bout between Diego Sanchez and Jake Ellenberger, but Fuel's limited availability has many fans worried that they'll miss the action.
To start, the evening's undercard will stream on Facebook with the UFC currently listing the start time for the action as 6:20 p.m. ET. That stream is as easy as going to the UFC's Facebook page and giving it a like.
For the evening's main card, the action will be available on Fuel TV only, with no online stream. While normally that would mean massively decreased numbers over regular live UFC events, Fuel is having a free preview week. For information on the free preview weekend there is a page set up by Fuel.
In addition to current providers which offer Fuel such as DirecTV, Dish Network and Verizon FiOs offering the station without having to pay for an upgraded package, they also list participating providers such as Comcast, AT&T UVerse, Charter and Time Warner Cable.
It does seem that there are actually only a small segment of those carriers airing the free preview, however. Chicago, Denver, Atlanta and Boston area Comcast customers have all informed me that they are not getting the free preview. But the markets that already carry Fuel (a limited number of Comcast markets..etc) are airing the free preview.
It appears that even with the free preview only roughly 43 million households will have access to Fuel.
If you fall into a situation where Fuel is not available, you can always check the official UFC list of bars that show their events and get out of the house and do something with yourself.
Feel free to share your provider, area and if you have access to the Fuel show tonight in the comments.

737 on my Winchester Comcat box tells me I need to order Fuel. Free week my ass.
chillnnsht - February 15, 2012
At least it's giving you the option to order it
Some cable providers just don’t offer Fuel at all no matter how much you’re willing to pay for it.
MichaelDavidSmith - February 15, 2012
I don’t get the free preview either. I don’t think TimeWarner in Kansas City ever participates in the free previews, I never get the Showtimes either.

I have Fuel TV on Dish
IBut they don’t offer that channel in HD. They do this weird thing where they make the program smaller than the TV with a black border all the way around it. I think they’re trying to make the resolution of the program better by doing that, not sure though. And if I hit the format button on the remote to stretch the program and make it fit the screen it looks bad. Really bad- might as well be watching it on Ion. FX and Spike are full HD though so why can’t Fuel TV be?

I have Cablevision on Long Island
NOT in HD and they do that boarder shit around the picture too! Ugh.
Does anyone have The Fight Network? It came as part of the Fuel package and man it totally sucks. lol.
Chael2012P4Pno1 - February 15, 2012
I know I have it for Cox Cable but it’s not that that I’m worried about. It’s trying to commandeer the tv from my mom/sis who insist on watching BasketBall Wives of San Francisco Club as they battle each other in a singing contest. THATS the hard part.

DVR and Whiskey

gotta say
LOVE that all this is available in canada on sportsnet. we don’t miss a trick.
there’s such a virtuous cycle to this – it’s popular, so it’s broadly available. and because it’s broadly available, it’s popular.
i hope things work out for Fuel! you guys are going to miss some sweet fights otherwise.
Clifford J - February 15, 2012
Sportsnet is showing all the prelims too? I thought they were just showing the main card.
GSP_RAMPAGE_COUTURE - February 15, 2012 via mobile
Just the main card @ 8
sklart - February 15, 2012
I checked my listings and it says the show is on at 11:30 pm. WTF?
pud333 - February 15, 2012
At least that’s what I get begin on the west coast. I see the ontario feed has it much earlier.
pud333 - February 15, 2012
I'm in Ontario, I only see 8 pm.
sklart - February 15, 2012
Why can't
they just put this on FX?
polevaultking - February 15, 2012
Because the whole point is that News Corp wants to make Fuel a more valuable channel
News Corp entered into this deal with the UFC hoping that UFC fans would come to see Fuel as a must-have channel, which would in turn make UFC fans pressure cable companies to carry Fuel.
MichaelDavidSmith - February 15, 2012
Went to the channel..says I have to order it:( Even though I woul like to see this show, I cant bring myself to order this channel…theres really nothing else on there that I would want to watch.
shotgunshine - February 15, 2012
Comcast in Baltimore
And no sign of this channel at all
AnyGiven - February 15, 2012
Comcast in Philly
No sign of this channel.
Body Triangle - February 15, 2012
Go to OnDemand and then TV Networks
You will find it but its not what you want. I’m in Philly too.
Roman727 - February 15, 2012
Comcast in Detroit
No FUEL TV
Tapout123 - February 15, 2012
All Comcast carriers are showing a "FuelTV free preview"
The only thing is it isn’t the station. It is an OnDemand section under TV Networks that will allow you to see some best of FuelTV packages they put on. 6 UFC best ofs and some other Fuel Original programing. No Live Events
Roman727 - February 15, 2012
One Cool thing is
You can see the best fights of 2011 including Reem vs Lesnar in pretty much their entirety.
Roman727 - February 15, 2012
I looked there......
I have Comcast in the Detroit area and its not in the ONdemand menu.
Tapout123 - February 15, 2012
TWC in south Texas - channel 317
I think its part of the HD package but its not actually in HD.
Surprised this is not in a lot of major markets.
merryprankster - February 15, 2012
Nothing to do with this topic, but it’s nice to hear that someone on here is from the Rio Grande Valley.
RagingNoodles - February 15, 2012
Nice...you did the blog about that crazy guy in Weslaco right?
merryprankster - February 15, 2012
Oh yeah, I did, ha.
RagingNoodles - February 15, 2012
Apparently in the UK
There will be a live feed for free from UFC.com I have heard that it is possible to get a programme that alters your IP address and predtend to websites that you live in different territories, but not sure how legal that is. Depends on whether you have ethical issues/mind watching stuff on your laptop rather than TV.
jim-ma - February 15, 2012
I've got Comcast
In the DC-metro area, so I guess I’ll just add Fuel fights, along with “pretty much all kickboxing” to the list of sports I don’t get to watch.
Dave Strummer - February 15, 2012
Comcast can go DIAF
Damon O. - February 15, 2012
Comcast in Boston
Comcast in Boston isn’t offering the free Fuel preview. I honestly can’t see myself ever getting Fuel unless I change cable providers entirely. I love the UFC and would love to watch the free fights but how can I justify, to myself and my roommates, paying for a channel that is completely useless unless there is a UFC card on?
pcusick13 - February 15, 2012
Yes - Fios in Jersey City, NJ
BUT, it’s not in HD so that kind of sucks. I know I sound like a whinny fickle MMA fan, but come on now, it’s 2012.
jammushi - February 15, 2012
WOW in Columbus Oh
They don’t even give the option of Fuel Tv. Punks
rolandd - February 15, 2012
I’ve got Fuel!

KimboLeopoldo - February 15, 2012

I mean people that dont normally get the channel are getting this as a preview or what?
Im gonna call anyway and see what the deal is ..
Oh .. and listen .. Im not trying to sway anybody .. if you think Fuel aint for you hell maybe it aint
but im telling you right now .. since Ive found this station (b/c of the UFC I might add) its in my everyday rotation of must see tv
i totally watch waaay too much fuel tv lol .. I LOVE “starngers in danger” “thrillbillies” “punk payback” all the different stories of skateshows, snowbording, etc etc .. “american misfits: quest for gnar” (lol!!) … idk .. I ended up a huge fan of this channel ..
sucks of its availability though .. my cousin who lives I SWEAR ..down the street, only about 2 miles away .. doesnt get the channel ..
Oh well .. guess im a lucky one
but I highly recommend it yo

MSG was being substituted in NYC - Time Warner Cable with Fuel. I don't know if they came to an agreement with MSG so it may still be free. Here's hoping :/
Papercut Elbow - February 15, 2012
It's available on UFC.tv for $9.99
but that might be because I’m in an overseas location
