Here's footage from Ivan Menjivar vs. John Albert, which went back and forth, and eventually produced last night's winner of the $50,000 "Submission of the Night" bonus.
You can also watch footage from the KO of the Night and the Main Event.

If you want a recap of the entire fight, here's our play-by-play from the live blog:
John Albert vs. Ivan Menjivar - Round 1 - Albert coming out quick and opening up and landing a right hand. Menjivar is trying to be aggressive but Albert is finding spots to really open up. Menjivar with a spinning backfist that clips Albert and looked to stagger him a bit. Menjivar with the takedown. He lands a few punches and Albert works his legs up high. Looking for the omoplata now but Menjivar defends and opens up a bit. Albert keeps attacking with triangles and elbows and now a heel hook. Menjivar defends and lands a kick to the body as he stands. Albert landing hard and now really opening up and Menjivar is hurt. Albert pounding away, looks like he got away with an illegal knee to a downed fighter but Menjivar manages to get the takedown. Menjivar gets the back now and is opening up with strikes. Now a rear naked choke is locked in and Albert taps. Incredible action there and a big win for Menjivar. Ivan Menjivar wins by submission (rear naked choke), 3:45 of round 1.

Albert didn’t even try to defend that choke

inexperience cost him here
But he will be brought back and hopefully brought up slowly now.

It looked like the kind of RNC you see at your local MMA show.

Inexperience was not the culprit
The shitty “no knees on the ground” rule saved Menjivar’s life.
How many times have we seen guys recover only because it’s so horribly awkward to try to throw punches from that position? If knees or kicks were allowed this absolutely would have been a knock out win for Albert.

Prince Albert put on a great performance.
His win over Pague on the finale impressed me a lot too, but I thought a vet like Menjivar was going to control the fight completely. His range and timing with the combinations looked crisp. When he landed that beautiful right hand followed by a head kick I thought it was done. Props to Menjivar for toughing out the storm.. Really it was Albert’s inexperience that cost him the fight. When he pushes off with his legs to create space and roll, he needs to be quicker and can’t turtle, or every fighter will get the hooks in on him and take his back. It worked for him the first time he stood up from a takedown, but that was because Menjivar was going for a kick to the body. I hope he improves his ground game and comes back, his striking was impressive for a 7-2 fighter, right off of the TUF finale. Looking at his record, he hasn’t made it out of the second round. Definitely an exciting 135er and I look forward to seeing him fight again.
