Jon Jones took up Criminal Justice in school, and said that he has always wanted to be in law enforcement. A few hours before he won the UFC light heavyweight championship against Shogun Rua, 'Bones' even performed a Citizen's Arrest, when he took down a thief who robbed an old couple.
He's definitely one of the best fighters in the planet, but does he have what it takes to pass Police Academy Training?
Find out on the video below:
There's extra footage after the jump where Jones tries to wrestle with a cop, test his shooting skills, and more.

Jon Jones does target practice with a Glock loaded with paint balls. He isn't quite used to drawing a gun from the holster yet though:

JON JONES IS EXPOSED
IRodC - February 17, 2012
Okay....
This begs shopping. Like him running from Rashad or something.
MicahtheCynic - February 17, 2012
Looking like Rumble Johnson here.
outlaw_GB - February 17, 2012
Could probably be giffed to look something like numa numa
truck - February 17, 2012
Hey, Greg Jackson
You see how Jones behaves here? All likeable and shit, that’s what gets fans.
IRodC - February 17, 2012
yes this was awesome for jones
seeing him run from that dog was the funniest shit I’ve see in a while. Something about that oversized, padded suit and how slow he was compared to the dog just got my giggling.
T.P. Grant - February 17, 2012
Does Greg tell Jones how to behave?
OmoPlata - February 17, 2012
Mind Control
Jackson planted eggs in Johnny’s brain.
TMadeBurner - February 17, 2012 via mobile
Likely (to a degree).
“SPORTS PSYCHOLOGY” and all that.
menckenstein - February 17, 2012
Should've implied that I think Jackson's influence is positive, makes it sound like I'm trashing him, I'm not.
Jones is young so he’s not going to be a stoic beacon of ubermaturity from hanging around good people but at least he won’t wind up like certain NorCal dudebros.

Unabomberman - February 17, 2012
Never thought I'd see the day where I liked Jon Jones
WanderChe - February 17, 2012
Likable? I thought he looked like an jerk. He really seems like the guy who would want to be a cop for the wrong reasons. Effin’ snitch.
thirdparty - February 17, 2012
Stop Sippin'
Steve4192 - February 17, 2012
What? I’m a Jon Jones fan, I enjoy his fights. He still acts like a jerk cop. Reminds me of a friend of a friend. Really likes telling other people what to do.
thirdparty - February 17, 2012
Haven't seen the movies in years.
But when the words “Police” and “Academy” I automatically start hearing this.
Police Academy Theme

Gouken - February 17, 2012
Technically he was running away from a police dog.
While wearing police pads and police gear.
Unabomberman - February 17, 2012
MINORITY SUSPECT! MINORITY SUSPECT!
Sugel Mendoza - February 18, 2012
Do you think the cops were concerned?
Jones could accidentally smash one of them pretty badly.
Schwizzles - February 17, 2012
That armbar was pretty awesome
You know… after the guy shot him.
menckenstein - February 17, 2012
Somebody gif this.
please?
skeebop - February 17, 2012
He’s now officially ready to stop Bobcat Goldwaith and his gang of punks!
Steve W - February 17, 2012 via mobile
He's like a kid in a candy store. All giggly and shit.
This is the most likeable I’ve seen Jones.
pud333 - February 17, 2012
No head protection while taking on the dog? What if the dog mauled his head?!?!
Baba Booey - February 17, 2012
That's not in the dog's gameplan
Takedown, wait 30 seconds.
menckenstein - February 17, 2012
GSP level takedowns
That dog possesses, while not attacking the head. Joe
warren305 - February 17, 2012
Ahhh....
I didn’t realized this dog trained as Greg Jackson’s. That explains it. I kid…
Baba Booey - February 17, 2012
Those dogs have the gameplan drilled into them, no head bites.
Kwisatz Haderach - February 17, 2012
Anyone have a link to the police report from the "robbery"?
Farthammer - February 17, 2012
No, because it doesn't exist.
menckenstein - February 17, 2012
Boom!
Truth-bomb!
Farthammer - February 17, 2012
Yep.
This is the real Jon Jones.
He’s a bit of a cocky stiff, he’s silly, and has no overabundance of good comebacks and quips other than smile uncomfortably, but he’s also a confident good-natured guy, and he’s not a jerk. He may be a bit of a weirdo with the tings he says at times, but he’s just one guy who gets to be recorded all the time.
Him just being silly and poking fun at himself kinda really humanizes him more than his usual “I wanna be marketable” vibe. Good thing he’s starting to slowly distance from that.
Unabomberman - February 17, 2012
Yeah I enjoyed it.
He seemed to have a good time with Rashad at the pre-fight press conference the other day as well. All he’s ever needed to do was relax and not try so hard in the P.R. department.
Kwisatz Haderach - February 17, 2012
I didn't already post this or anything
