Quality free card
Alves vs Kampann is a big fight. Then the beginning of Flyweights will be awesome. I’m pumped.
Tim Bernier - February 17, 2012
Hell yeah. Really looking forward to what should a brilliant display of striking in the main event. Two of the best, most technical guys in the division.
TMadeBurner - February 17, 2012 via mobile
For real.
It’s a super intriguing fight.
Tim Bernier - February 17, 2012
It's an awesome fight. This should be great striking.
Sweet Scientist - February 17, 2012
Kampmann will find a way to lose yet another fight he should win.
It is painful being his fan.
Ulf Murphy - February 17, 2012
I dunno
I thought he fought a pretty smart fight against Story.
wonderfulspam - February 17, 2012
He did
but it is hard for me to shake the Diego and Jake fights. Hell, even against Daley he played his ooponent’s game.
The Story fight was a good first step that I hope continues against Alves.
Ulf Murphy - February 17, 2012
There was absolutely no reason he should have lost the fight to Diego.
I can’t really hold that one against him.
Chris Hall - February 17, 2012
And the Shields fight
He won that Shields fight, for sure.
Jonathan. - February 17, 2012
Shields was much closer and there's an argument for him getting the nod
But Kampmann should have won every single round against Sanchez
Chris Hall - February 17, 2012
He can win on the ground
but he does get hit a lot and Alves hits hard
NEW-HAMPSHIRE - February 18, 2012
Plus,
it’s on a channel that actually exists for normal people.
ElliotMatheny - February 18, 2012
Always a plus!
Tim Bernier - February 18, 2012 via mobile
I think it’s a quality free card as well. I think it is ridiculous when some MMA fans try to find the negative in this card especially with the cliches such as that it won’t attract the casuals. I’m very much looking forward to this card.
chrisbboy82 - February 18, 2012
no sotty?
or did he get injured
Cunny - February 17, 2012
Slated to fight Gomi at 144, but hé got injured…
Hugin - February 17, 2012 via mobile
so hype for this card
over all its solid you have Alves and Kampmann for the casuals but oooo yea Flyweights
MaZZacare - February 17, 2012
The great thing about the flyweights
Is that because they don’t have big names yet we get to have to great fights and four awesome fighters all on the same card.
jim-ma - February 18, 2012
"Uncle Creepy" is the best nickname ever, via accuracy.
Does Thiago Alves look like a Pitbull? Not even close.
Nice self-awareness, Mr. McCall.
SanFranpsycho - February 17, 2012
He agrees.
Jonathan. - February 17, 2012
Wow
he is rather fucked looking. Excited to see what he has to offer Johnson.
Ak.Death - February 17, 2012
Actually,
I think Thiago resembles a pitbull more than anybody whose ever used that nickname.
Dustin Luff - February 17, 2012
nah I think Pitbull the rapper actually looks like a Pitbull
Rob Young - February 18, 2012
I am so very excited for this show, if only for the Flyweight fights. Why are there only four fights on the main card?
KyroJudo - February 17, 2012
I’m guessing it’s a 2 hour show. They have to count for the chance that each main card fight could go the distance. That’s 17 mins for each fight (counting the minute in-between rounds), plus walk-outs, commercials, and commentary, brings it to roughly 30 mins per fight (2 hrs). If any of the main card fights ends early, we’ll hopefully get to see some undercard action.
Baba Booey - February 18, 2012 via mobile
Siler
Doesn’t he usually fight at 145? Is Cole going down or Siler going up?
TMadeBurner - February 17, 2012
Cole’s dropping to FW. He should dominate Siler.
POW - February 17, 2012 via mobile
I never thought he was all that small at 55 to be honest. What the he’ll is he going to look like at 45?
TMadeBurner - February 17, 2012 via mobile
Garza or Roop
think of the game hangman when you were a kid.
Ulf Murphy - February 17, 2012
The undercard is pretty meh
But the main card is awesome. I’m pretty pumped to see Philippou again, the FLW tourney semis should be outstanding and Alves vs Kampmann is a dream fight.
WAR KAMPMANN
wonderfulspam - February 17, 2012
Disagree
Love Cole Miller. Kyle Noke, too, but mainly because he used to be Steve Irwin’s bodyguard.
SSreporters - February 17, 2012
I like Miller too
He should smash Siler. You can’t convince me the rest of the undercard is all that interesting, though.
wonderfulspam - February 17, 2012
Court McGee has done a wondrous job of not losing but unfortunately, he’s getting KO’d here.
savik - February 17, 2012
Costa is probably overrated
He beat a totally shot Rivera (barely) and KO’d a guy who hates defense. McGee is the better fighter and probably can ride out a decision.
SSreporters - February 17, 2012
McGee is really good at outworking opponents and just being a solidly well-rounded fighter. However, I am predicting that Costa will catch him in the standup and get the win.
chrisbboy82 - February 18, 2012
lol at
Cole Miller vs. Steven Siler
av1o3 - February 17, 2012
if siler wins
do we start calling him the Miller Killer?
justsomehawkeyefan - February 18, 2012
Will the tourney finals be on this same card?
TheLastEmpress - February 17, 2012
No
Our Bovine Public - February 17, 2012
because of the shadow guy head being Thiago
Alves is fighting 7 times on this card, once against himself
esquilinho - February 17, 2012 via Android app
...which is fine by Kizer.
Sugel Mendoza - February 17, 2012
Hecht vs. Waldburger
FOTN or SOTN will be in this fight.
halitosis - February 18, 2012 via mobile
Is the main event 3 or 5 rounds?
Also I could see the winner fighting Ellenberger.
City Lights - February 18, 2012
Three
This and Gustafsson vs Lil Nog are going to be three rounds. Hopefully Poirier vs Chan Sung Jung will be five, and then after that we never have to ask if a main event is three or five rounds again.
Tim Bernier - February 18, 2012
ANother 3 rounder
I think Dana will apologising again for this not being a 5 rounder…Either man by spilt sounds about right to me
JonBon Joey - February 18, 2012
I'm so excited for this card.
That weekend is going to be great. I get to see my favorite fighter (Alves) beat Kampmann, we get to see history in the makings with flyweights, and then the next night we get to see if Rousey can go home with a belt and another arm!
I will do my very best Diego Sanchez impression by saying:
YES!!!!
