It's a weekend without any MMA of note and I like watching men punch each other in the face. With that in mind, I'm going to bring you live results and play-by-play for the WBC heavyweight championship bout between champion Vitali Klitschko and challenger Dereck Chisora.
The action will get under way around 4:30 p.m. ET and, as pointed out earlier today, the fight can be seen free online in America if you sign up for a 14 day free trial of Epix. It's a Saturday afternoon, there aren't many better options for how to spend a lazy weekend afternoon than watching a giant angry German man punch a disrespectful Brit in the head.
Bad Left Hook's Coverage of Klitschko vs. Chisora
Speaking personally, I think this has a good chance to be an entertaining bout. Chisora is going to come forward hard trying to get his hands on Klitschko's chin, I don't expect him to be hesitant about taking a few shots to force his way inside. That will make Vitali have to do more than circle and pump the jab. Vitali also has a bit more of a mean streak than Wladimir so I expect that he will want to shut Chisora's mouth and punish him for the weigh-in slap.
Check back if you want to talk about the fight as it goes down this afternoon.
The fight will be getting underway soon.
There has been some nonsense where Chisora took off his wraps backstage and was saying he wouldn't fight. But that has supposedly been "sorted out" now. David Haye said that Chisora was in a rage backstage.
They just announced there will be a 10-15 minute delay before the main event.
4:53 pm: The crowd is about 13,000 strong. We're still killing time before the main event.
5:00 pm: Christina Perri gives a brief musical performance that was...kind of embarrassing. Ring walks should be coming soon.
5:08 pm: They're saying 5-10 more minutes until the fighters come out. This is just getting stupid.
5:18 pm: Both men in the ring. All updates from here on will be after the jump.

Bobillarious - February 18, 2012 via Android app
this doesnt go the distance..
Kronic - February 18, 2012
thanks for the link
(and Klitschko isn’t German, he is from the Ukraine)
phantom5691 - February 18, 2012
Pretty sure he's a German citizen
Even though born in Ukraine. Similar to Denis Siver, I believe?
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
He was in the Ukrainian parliament.
So I don’t think he’s German. His father, a Soviet general, was stationed in East Germany, however.
Sabate - February 18, 2012
If you live in Canada you can watch this live and free on Rogers Sportsnet. Awesome channel, they have all the Fuel and FX events, and its just basic cable for everyone.
AHutch - February 18, 2012
can smb tell me how many hours left to the event?
I haven’t yet figured out how to convert EST to japan time, so can anybody tell me how many hours left? around 10?
Nodir Shermatov - February 18, 2012
your computer comes with a clock
a clock with adjustable time zones.
Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
thanks for the hint.
I recently switched to ubuntu, so I’m like a noob on this one. lol thanks!

Somebody find
The Inoki slapping Machida gif. It belongs here.
Scott Whitaker - February 18, 2012
I was surprised he didn't hit back.
he prolly could, but didn’t. why is that?
defend yoself at all times!
Nodir Shermatov - February 18, 2012
The $50k price tag?
Scott C. Broussard - February 18, 2012
20% of Klitchko's purse would be way more than $50k
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
Didn't realize it was a percentage. Thought it was a flat fee.
Scott C. Broussard - February 18, 2012
Because he gets to hit him way harder today.
pdl - February 18, 2012
The fight starts
In around 5 hours, the German RTL broadcast in around 4

Nice tip about the free trial
Now I can play Undisputed AND watch free, real facepunching all afternoon!
Dangit! - February 18, 2012
Guys......
If you have never seen a Klitschko fight….
Mohammedini Hussein - February 18, 2012
I'm warning you
They can be some of the most boring fights you have ever seen.
Sure the brothers often gets the finish but they get it very late.
Until then… Jab….. Jab… right hand…. round ends
and repeat.
I hope That Del Boys slap woke the beast up in Vitali and he’ll go for the finish earlier.
But I doubt it
Mohammedini Hussein - February 18, 2012
the GSP's of boxing.
CVD - February 18, 2012
His jab, you mean.
Unabomberman - February 18, 2012
The real question is
Are they mean jabs? I liked watching GSP jab Koscheck’s face into a mangled lump.
Scott Whitaker - February 18, 2012
Well if anyone deserves it it’s Chisora, who’s apparently scared shitless.
Flashking - February 18, 2012 via mobile
Been reading the updates of the card on twitter
For a guy who slapped his opponent at the press conference, he sure is complaining a lot about tactics
IRodC - February 18, 2012
Whoops...I thought I came to an MMA website :D
Only joking…always interested in how a Klitschko fight goes…even if I never actually WATCH a boxing fight.
Chris Groves - February 18, 2012
anybody else having a tough time with the epix site?
I can’t even seem to find a logon prompt anywhere…..maybe I’ve had a few too many already?
OmoPlata - February 18, 2012
The site seems to be down
On 360 it won’t get past authenticate. It seems like UFC on 360 all over again.

Yeah, really weird stuff. My confirmation email won’t load the link when I click on it. Hm.
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
They might be overloaded by people signing up to watch the fight. Dunno. Doesn’t work in Canada either way.

You’re just bitter because I’m a better drinker than you are.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
yep
i gave up on epix and pursued other means to watch it.
Johnathan Willis - February 18, 2012
I can't wait for Klitschko to mop the floor with Chisora.
I wasn’t giving two shits about this fights but after having seen what happened at the weigh in I can’t wait for Klitschko to destroy that cunt.
pornflake - February 18, 2012
and that's why the slap happened in the 1st place.
SUmonkey - February 18, 2012
For those who have Epix working, is the stream a thing with Bruce Beck and them doing a roundtable?
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
And Freddie Roach as well.
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
yes
and it’s laggy as all hell.
OmoPlata - February 18, 2012
Yeah, I might just roll with Box Nation…since I am British and all…
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
Can someone explain what happened with Chisora backstage and what he was pissed about?
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
Klitschko’s cornermen barged into his room and demanded his wraps be redone
dancharleton - February 18, 2012
Chisora’s trainer said it was an issue with tape touching the skin, rather than being over gauze, at some points. Announcing team widely agrees it is pure gamesmanship (which worked, judging by how furious Chisora became)
dancharleton - February 18, 2012
There’s…a piano…in the ring.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
This girl sounds like Bob Dylan with a cold.
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
Music and lyrics are TERRIBLE, but…she’s kinda hot.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
SHE JUST WENT JERRY LEE LEWIS! THE PIANO IS ON FIRE!
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
And it’s on fire!
Horselover Fat - February 18, 2012
THE PIANOS ON FIRE!

Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
Boris Becker? Was David Hasselhoff busy today?
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
Epix stream is pretty laggy. Anyone having the same trouble?
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
yep. It shitty stream.
Rutager - February 18, 2012
Alright, because I task manager’d and disk cleanuped the hell out of my computer for optimal results, so glad it isn’t me.
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
Imagine if you were a better person.. then you’d say the opposite: “I’m glad it’s just an issue on my end, and that the rest of you can enjoy the fights”
Horselover Fat - February 18, 2012
The good of the many outweigh the good of the few
or the one.
LLAP? Anybody?
verloc - February 18, 2012
I’ve cleared up my issues! Enjoy the fights! (:
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
So does anybody think this Chisora chap has a chance here?
Rutager - February 18, 2012
About as much chance as any Kardashian marriage has last a lifetime.
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
no
anything can happen sure, but Vitalio has a great chin.
Chisora is 6’1…….. Vitali is 6’8……….
I’m warning you right now.
This fight will have a 98% chance of being extremely dull and boring.
Mohammedini Hussein - February 18, 2012
That's what I thought.
Don’t know why I still always think a heavyweight boxing match will be exiting.
Rutager - February 18, 2012
Tyson and Holyfield
Mohammedini Hussein - February 18, 2012
He almost beat a tall, rangey fighter before
So he’s got a small chance, but it’s pretty damn small.
I think the bigger question is whether the fight will be entertaining. He better not pull a Haye…
paythefighters - February 18, 2012
Helenius is nothing like Vitali
He struggled agains a shot and fat Samuel peters before getting the finish.
He struggled with a fringe contender from 2005 that had a 2 year long layoff before he got the finish.
Mohammedini Hussein - February 18, 2012
No mma fan will ever find a Klitschko fight enjoyable in any way
90% of boxing fans don’t
Mohammedini Hussein - February 18, 2012
I do.
pdl - February 18, 2012
I do as well. I love the Klitschkos. Something about the dominance they lay down in the ring is really intriguing. Kind of like when Anderson Silva clowns guys.
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
???????
Those guys can’t possible be compared to A.S.
It’s jab, jab ,jab for 10 rounds before the get a finish.
Or it’s a 12 round starring competition.
In the worst HW div in boxing history filled with fat guys they are both 6’7-6’8…..
Tell me, what fight did you find enjoyable?
Mohammedini Hussein - February 18, 2012
I never said they were LIKE Anderson. I said their dominance is comparable. I find seeing these guys dominate like they do insanely interesting.
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
I'm the same way with liking the dominance
Half the problem is that they are so much better than everyone that half their fights recently have just been guys who showed up to not get KOed. Haye embarrassed himself.
joker24 - February 18, 2012
Wlad did nothing to finish the fight.....
it was a staring contest where both guy did barely nothing.
Haye did a little less and flopped on the ground every single time they clinched.
Thats about it
Mohammedini Hussein - February 18, 2012
Yeah…Haye had his will dominated.
We get it. You don’t like the Klitschkos or HW boxing. Fine.
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
It's pretty hard to knock out someone who doesn't want to fight.
Sugel Mendoza - February 18, 2012
You're right
They’re better at what they do than Anderson is at what he does.
When was heavyweight boxing better? When they were fat cruiserweights?
WheelieMonkey - February 18, 2012
their average opponent are 6'2....
they are both 6’7-6’8..
Their opponents are undersized, often fat..
The worst…. HW……. DIV…. IN…. History
Mohammedini Hussein - February 18, 2012
Dude, we get it.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
I do.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
AND WE HAVE ALL THREE OF THEM IN THE SAME ROOM AT THE SAME TIME!
Jon Fitch is jealous
Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
Yes someone who TKOs virtually everyone he faces is like Jon Fitch
joker24 - February 18, 2012
BOOM!
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012

Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
Is he coming out like Bernard Hopkins lol
He has an executioner outfit but he is the one about to get murdered. Dr Iron fists is going to kill him.
malo - February 18, 2012 via mobile
Even the walkouts are long and dull.
If anyone says thats what she or he said I will brain you.
Rutager - February 18, 2012
Chisora is crazy.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
He seems to be acting out of fear, to say the least.
malo - February 18, 2012 via mobile
Stitch Duran in the house.
malo - February 18, 2012 via mobile
I think Klitschko might take this the distance just to punish Chisora.
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
This dude just spit on Vladimir lol, what a fucking clown.
I hope he gets destroyed
malo - February 18, 2012 via mobile
Chisora shit his shorts yet?
Dustin Luff - February 18, 2012
Wow. I can’t believe he spit water in his face.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
Yeah, what an incredible douche… hope he gets humiliated and destroyed.
Horselover Fat - February 18, 2012
PBP!
What happened?
Dustin Luff - February 18, 2012
Before the intros, Chisora walked up to Vladimir, got in his face, and….spit water right in his face.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
Oh damn...
#Murder.
Dustin Luff - February 18, 2012
Sometimes these things happen in MMA
er… uh… Boxing
Ricardo Arguello - February 18, 2012
Vitali’s round.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
Chisora has nothing for Vitali. Lord.
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
I dunno, he’s getting beaten but he’s there to fight at least.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
Oh, no doubt. But he doesn’t have much for him.
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
Chisora is a legitimate lunatic.
pdl - February 18, 2012
Because he's leading with his face?
Sabate - February 18, 2012
Against a guy with 40 KOs in 43 fights that he has slapped and spit on in the past 24 hours.
pdl - February 18, 2012
Oh yeah that.
No debate here.
Sabate - February 18, 2012
He spit on his brother.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
Is that more or less crazy?
pdl - February 18, 2012
If I had to fight one, I’d pick Vladdy.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
Then try to pick up my broken teeth with my broken fingers.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
I'd prefer a mercy killing over slow torture.
pdl - February 18, 2012
Is the HW division just really weak in boxing right now?
I am not trying to be a spoilsport, but I’m watching this fight, and neither guy seems to be very good.
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
Vitali is great but this is the worst HW div in boxing history by a mile
Mohammedini Hussein - February 18, 2012
The way he keeps his hands so low is scary.
I’ve got to think there are HWs fast enough to clean his clock, no?
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
It's awful. Within their respective sports, MMA has better heavyweight depth than boxing
And that’s not saying much.
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
only 2 guys in HW boxing that are "good"
Mohammedini Hussein - February 18, 2012
So what happened?
I must admit I got away from boxing with the rise of MMA.
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
The USA stopped caring about heavyweights
Sometime after Mike Tyson’s decline.
We’ve produced zero top class HWs worth discussing for pretty much the duration of the 2000s.
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
There's more and better boxing outside the USA
Than there has ever been before. Nothing’s wrong with heavyweight boxing, Americans don’t see Americans winning, so they complain about it, like soccer.
WheelieMonkey - February 18, 2012
Heavyweight boxing is godawful
The Klitschko brothers are fighting guys who are either cruiserweights or warm bodies like Chris Arreola, who is just not good.
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
Chubby cruiserweights
Is what HW boxing has always been.
WheelieMonkey - February 18, 2012
Heavyweight boxing is better than it has ever been
People have just ALWAYS said “heavyweight boxing used to be better” no matter how far back you look.
WheelieMonkey - February 18, 2012
Yeah people are clamoring to see Monte Barrett, Eddie Chambers, Helenius, etc.
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
Americans don't have
Any Americans to clamor for.
WheelieMonkey - February 18, 2012
20-18 Vitali.
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
i've been watching to much mma
klit feinted the 1-2 and then just stopped, and i immediately thought THROW THE LEG KICK
Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
Okay, I'm having issues with our backend and updating the post. so i'll do this in the comments for now.
Round 1 – Vitali misses a left early and Chisora is trying to push forward. Chisora moving his head a bit and lands a wide left to the shoulder of Klitschko. Vitali with the jab and a right hand. Chisora tries to wing a wild riht in return and misses. Half lands another right. Klitschko with another jab and now digs to the body. Right hand by Chisora but they’re too wide to hold power here. He keeps going to that wild overhand right. Klitschko doing the better work but Chisora is trying like hell to get inside and make something happen. Klitschko tags him and that causes Chisora to back off a bit. 10-9 Vitali.
Round 2 – Chisora coming our and still trying to come forward. The right hand of Vitali is the most important punch in this fight so far. Now goes to the body a couple of times. Chisora gets tagged twice more now. Vitali starting to land right after right now late in the round and he really is taking this over. 10-9 Vitali (20-18 Vitali)
Brent Brookhouse - February 18, 2012
YUS!
Follow the Badlefthook model!
It would be also awesome for the other live events, make it easier to follow without reloading the whole page including the bunch of comments.
Unabomberman - February 18, 2012
to be fair, I like how they do that a lot
Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
I feel like it makes the updates hard to find if the comments are bumpin
jammin.. - February 18, 2012
But they have that Huge-ass logo in there...
Unabomberman - February 18, 2012
It is just easier to follow.
Unabomberman - February 18, 2012
Round 3
Chisora is really taking some heavy shots as this fight continues. It’s all uppercuts and right hands but Chisora is game enough. He continues trying to come forward and try to make something happen, but this is entirely a case where Chisora is looking for a single home run shot. 10-9 Klitschko (30-27 Klitschko)
Brent Brookhouse - February 18, 2012
Vitali has his hands around his waist here. Does he have that little respect for Chisora, or is that just how he fights?
jammin.. - February 18, 2012
he always
fights like that dude is 6’7 with an 80 inch reach
P86 - February 18, 2012
It's how he beats everybody
WheelieMonkey - February 18, 2012
He really needs to start punching him in the knee.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
Srsly.
Sabate - February 18, 2012
Did they just announce the scores?
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
Oh yeah, WBC.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
Might be open scoring
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
yeah, WBC uses open scoring I think.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
39-37? WTF?!?
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
Yeah I don't get that.
Sabate - February 18, 2012
Round 4
Round 4 – Now Chisora looks to come out behind his jab (as his corner asked). Klitschko’s understanding of spacing is great. When Chisora gets inside Vitali still steps inside of the hooks and then either clinches or circles away to get back to distance. Uppercut again by Vitali. Klitschko steps back from a lunching shot by Chisora and tags him with a counter. Now a big right. 10-9 Vitali again (40-36)
Brent Brookhouse - February 18, 2012
open scoring in this fight: 40-36, 39-37, 40-37 for Vitali
those are official scores.
Brent Brookhouse - February 18, 2012
10-10 ROUND OMG!
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
What round did Chisora win?
Dustin Luff - February 18, 2012
3rd or 4th probably
he’s at least been the aggressor
Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
Round 5
Chisora deserves credit because he never stops coming forward. He’s landed to the body a bit but Vitali is just lightyears better technically. Vitali is just circling around the right, jabbing, landing right hands and not getting hit. It’s more exciting than a lot of Klitschko fights but there is a distinct lack of a sense of danger for the champion here. 10-9 Vitali (50-45 Vitali)
Brent Brookhouse - February 18, 2012
Vitali's got a really good chin
There’s no way Chisora can win this.
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
Do people actually enjoy watching vitali fight or...
do they trick themselves into thinking his next fight will be different from his last
C.A.M. - February 18, 2012
I've only seen like 5 of his fights and its all been the same
lackadaisical pace, jab jab, no footwork just straight back or straight foward, no explosion no excitement
C.A.M. - February 18, 2012
Man just look at the crowd
If you wonder why the UFC fails in Europe, it’s because it’s a boxing continent by a country mile.
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
also
europe doesn’t do pay per view
Cunny - February 18, 2012
Dick punch?
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
Chisora’s coming on here.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
Looks like Chisora is trying to headbutt his dick
jammin.. - February 18, 2012
Vitali is exposed!!
edtSD - February 18, 2012
I like how
Chisora swinging for the fences. he just landed a very nice uppercut.
also, as usual the reach and height advantage is huge. plus thrice the experience.
btw, what was so embarrassing about Christina’s performance? lol I noticed it was totally different then the radio version, singing live is harder I guess. totally different from the pre-recorded version. she was off notes
Nodir Shermatov - February 18, 2012
Every time I looked up
She was making a weird face.
WheelieMonkey - February 18, 2012
Vitali is channeling Carlos Condit now.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
Whoa, I was just thinking the same thing.
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
This fight reminds me of Condit-Diaz
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
If you've never watched a Klitschko fight, wait until round 11.
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
This definitely isn’t a usual Klit fight so far.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
Chisora is fearless
But it’s a tall order for him to keep having this kind of success.
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
What happens then?
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
Knockouts. Violent ones.
9 times out of 10.
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
Chisora’s round.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
Round 6
Chisora gets in and actually lands a little bit now. He keeps going back to the body also. Vitali with a right hand, now Chisora lands in return. This is a much better round for Chisora. Chisora lands a nice right hand. Klitschko looks a little bit fatigued. Klitschko lands a right now but there’s a bit of a sense that things are changing a little here. Chisora is getting more aggressive and finding a bit more success. 10-9 Chisora (59-55 Vitali)
Brent Brookhouse - February 18, 2012
What kind of cardio does the champion have?
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
Solid left
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
I switched of the commentaries, Fort Minor instrumental. cool!
also, kinda impressed by chisora!
Nodir Shermatov - February 18, 2012
More rounds do make for better drama.
GreyedOut - February 18, 2012
Does Chisora actually have a chance?
GreyedOut - February 18, 2012
a KO? like Haseem Rakhman on Lewis
other than that, prolly not
Nodir Shermatov - February 18, 2012
Well I am not disappointed with this fight so far.
Definitely not two out-of-shape exhausted HWs. Lots of action.
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
Now Vitali is landing some shots
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
Wow, tough round to score. Chisora had the first half, Vitali the second half. I’ll go 10-10. 69-65.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
This is far more competitive than I expected
jammin.. - February 18, 2012
about as exciting as I expected too
definitely closer, however
Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
This is a pretty good fight.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
solid technical fight
I’m not exactly on the edge of my seat tho
Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
Give that one to Chisora. Last two to him.
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
Round 7
Vitali with a body shot right away. Chisora just keeps pressuring. It’s non-stop. Now he lands to the body and to the head. He keeps landing. Klitscho is starting to look a bit bothered. Now Klitschko lands a riht. Chisora is really coming at him. It’s not that Vitali isn’t still landing the right a little bit, it’s that Chisora is having actual success on the inside now. Chopping right by Vitali. Chisora comes forward with a left that is blocked. Right hand by Vitali is his best punch in the last few rounds. Now Vitali with a hard right, Chisora won’t back off. Close round, I’ll go 10-9 Chisora. (68-65 Vitali)
Brent Brookhouse - February 18, 2012
Anybody else feel like the wheels are started to come off on Vitali?
pdl - February 18, 2012
He’s showing signs of it for sure.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
Yep.
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
Looks like he’s having trouble adjusting
jammin.. - February 18, 2012
Vitali is older than Wlad by 5 years
It’s very possible.
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
The last HW I was really excited about was ike ibeabuchi
Then he went to jail.
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
Chisora spent a fair amount of time there
Brent Brookhouse - February 18, 2012
Chisora is bleeding out of his mouth I think
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
I’ve got it 78-75 Vitali after 8.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
Round 8
This is the round where Chisora predicted he’d get a KO. He comes forward right into Vitali’s chest. Jab by vitali and again. Chisora to the body. Vitali is sticking his jab out a bit more now. Right hand by Chisora. Chisora with a few glancing punches and he keeps coming forward. I feel like I’m typing that a lot, but it’s important to note when a Klitschko can’t break the will and stop the charge of an opponent. Good body shot by Vitali. Right hand by Chisora. Klitschko spent a lot of time clinching that round. 10-9 Chisora. (77-75 Vitali)
Brent Brookhouse - February 18, 2012
FYI, same score Scott has it at BLH
Brent Brookhouse - February 18, 2012
Open scoring update anyone?
Sabate - February 18, 2012
they farked the pooch
didn’t get them up in time
Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
The announcers said they didn't get the scores after the round and are concerned about it.
Suspecting something amiss.
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
Scott says the WBC doesn’t give open scoring after the 8th.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
My bad, misread that. He just said it didn’t come
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
This is a fight.
I hope it does not go the cards.
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
Chisora is game
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
Vitali is having problem landing that jab
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
Vitali’s round. 88-84.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
Vitali looked better that round
jammin.. - February 18, 2012
Pressure, pressure, pressure. Vitali is clearly uncomfortable in there at this point. Solid straight right hand by Vitali. Klitschko with a jab. Right hand by Klitschko and another and this is his best round in a bit. But Chisora is still walking forward. 10-9 Vitali. (87-84 Vitali)
Brent Brookhouse - February 18, 2012
scores
79-74
79-73
79-73
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012

Sabate - February 18, 2012

Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
Official scores
79-74
79-73
79-73
crazy. too wide
Brent Brookhouse - February 18, 2012
For once a Klitschko fight sees an opponent taking the fight to them with success
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
Some wild haymakers from Chisora
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
Odds that Vitali retires after this fight?
Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
Chisora landed a really good right hook
I think that hurt Vitali a little bit.
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
I don't think the scores are justified.
I think this fight is much closer than those scores.
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
98-94 Vitali for me here guys. Chisora might just need to go guns blazing here.
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
"might"
heh
Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
Or he can just accept a hard-fought defeat. lol.
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
Vitali’s round again. 98-93
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
I'd like to see Chisora come out like a madman and swing for the fences.
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
Round 10
Open scoring shows that Chisora needs the KO (or at least a few knockdowns) so he needs to turn it up even more. Klitschko circling. Chisora trying to catch him, working the body but Klitschko does get to him a little bit. Chisora is fading a bit since his little run in the middle of the fight and he can’t quite pressure as much. They trade big right hands. Big left by Chisora to end the round. 10-9 Klitschko (97-93 Vitali)
Brent Brookhouse - February 18, 2012
I haven't seen Chisora fight too much
But he might be better than David Haye.
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
Maybe so now that Haye's retired.
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
Oh wow, VK is 40?
Very impressive.
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
Vitali's left hand is almost useless
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
thats what she said
Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
I wish I had a banhammer in my back pocket for that
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
Im curious as to why Vitali stopped throwing uppercuts, seems like it would be a good counter for the way Chisora keeps ducking in
jammin.. - February 18, 2012
Wow. The Irish announcer on my stream has given only a 10-10 for Chisora
And everything else for Vitali
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
heh the brits on mine
have given him a bit more. Perhaps they’re biased, but I tend to agree with them
Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
Sounds scouse to me
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
Round 11
Chisora coming forward but he can’t really open up like he wants in round 11. Vitali landing a little bit now. Nice right and a left by Vitali. Chisora is trying to hunt him down still but Vitali is clinching and circling well to not allow him to spend time on top of him. Nice right by Klitschko. Chisora goes body, head. 10-9 Klitschko. 107-102 Vitali
Brent Brookhouse - February 18, 2012
108-103 Vitali.
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
Gotta go for broke.
Nothing to lose.
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
i just stopped by to reserve my team name for the next civil war. i dont know if im gonna captain but i want to be on team name....
Apologizing For My Pornographic Past
Earl Montclair - February 18, 2012 via iPhone app
i might even join just to be on that
Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
You win
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
non sequitur of the night
GreyedOut - February 18, 2012
I love British/Aussie commentators.
Those accents — I could listen to them call a turtle race.
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
Chisora’s round. 117-112. Solid, solid fight.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
Not totally exciting, but not bad either
6.5/10 for me.
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
Round 12
Chisora needs a knockout here. He goes to the body. Vitali with a few nice shots. Chisora responds going to the body and the head. Wild right actually clips Vitali a bit. A little over a minute left and Klitschko needs to just not get blasted. Chisora gives it an effort as the round heads to the final bell, letting go with a right hand. Another big right and the final bell. Good effort from Chisora but Vitali will win on the cards. 10-9 Chisora (116-112 Vitali)
Brent Brookhouse - February 18, 2012
Vladdy’s pissed.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
117-113 Vitali. Good fight. Chisora has no reason to be ashamed.
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
Boxing lets way too many people in the ring post fight
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
Agreed
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
That's why Nick Diaz cannot fight in a boxing
All sorts of shit would break out
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
so true
jthin - February 18, 2012
Defnitely
There should be security tossing people out.
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
I am not at all disappointed with the fight.
Entertaining, very active fighters. Good job.
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
Also, watch the exact opposite of rangey fighting tonight when Paul Williams boxes on Showtime!
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
Paul Williams is fighting?
Wonder how he’ll win his next robbery.
SSreporters - February 18, 2012
Wladimir gets in the face of Chisora’s corner, he’s none too happy about Chisora’s slap and water spitting..etc.
Brent Brookhouse - February 18, 2012
So does that mean he’s forgiven for the pre-fight water spit because he put out a valiant effort?
Dustin Luff - February 18, 2012
Wlad looks pissed off and hasty. he handed a bottle of water to Vitaliy in a wrong time lol
Nodir Shermatov - February 18, 2012
Anyone gonna watch the bout after this or just chill until the Showtime card?
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
I'm going to go out for a bit until showtime.
Brent Brookhouse - February 18, 2012
Cool, thinking of doing the same.
mountaineers101 - February 18, 2012
Official scorecards
118-110
118-110
119-111
Vitali Klitschko wins by unanimous decision to retain the WBC heavyweight title.
Brent Brookhouse - February 18, 2012
Yup.
Germany.
gzl5000 - February 18, 2012
He can’t even raise his left arm, looks like he injured it
jammin.. - February 18, 2012
agree, looks uncomfortable when it is raised by his cornerman also
dancharleton - February 18, 2012
Where is security???
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
Chisora is a fighter!
Nodir Shermatov - February 18, 2012
Vladdy/Chisora. Book it.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
That green belt looks kind of silly.
UFC belts look better.
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
I was just going to say
That’s one weedy looking belt.
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
you want one of these
IBF does it right here at least
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
That looks better
A belt shouldn’t look like it was skinned from a manbag.
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
Chisora seems to have no respect to Klitchko brazzers
Nodir Shermatov - February 18, 2012
I see what you did there.
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
Chisora really worked the body.
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
Meh. It was an OK fight.
Kept thinking “Double leg, mount, punch, choke – submission, round 1”
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
Entertaining fight at least
Chisora gave it all he could, throwing shots, just controlled for most of the fight.
Everyone in there seemed a bit of a dick though
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
*got controlled
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
How would JDS do in the HW division in boxing.
Josh Lee - February 18, 2012
He'd survive more than 1 round against either Klitschko
But wouldn’t win.
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
probably get picked apart
Tats16 - February 18, 2012
He gets hit a lot. He wouldn’t do that well. Same with Badr Hari.
Tim Burke - February 18, 2012
would be very interesting to see JDS in there with mma gloves, lol
Nodir Shermatov - February 18, 2012
put mma gloves on a pro boxer at that level and JDS would probably go to sleep fast.
Tats16 - February 18, 2012
you underestimate the champ tho
Nodir Shermatov - February 18, 2012
JDS's defensive flaws would be his undoing, and quick.
Junior has tons of speed and power, but his defense really isn’t very good.
lolumad - February 18, 2012
he's got enourmous power with that fluid dynamics. very dynamic. I don't see that in many boxers
Nodir Shermatov - February 18, 2012
if it was 3 rounds fight 5 minutes each, I'd guess JDS would do quite well)))
at least that’s what a fan in me says, but realistically, prolly you’re right
Nodir Shermatov - February 18, 2012
Did anyone hear what Vitali said about his left hand?
The Epix stream was awful for me, so I couldn’t hear the interview properly.
paythefighters - February 18, 2012
He basically said he fought with one hand but didn’t want to make excuses and say why. I’d bet on him being injured though. Would be pretty strange otherwise to just abandon what has always been his main weapon the left jab.
Asmo - February 18, 2012
David Haye just said the price, date, venue all agreed, the klitschkos just need to send the contract for him to sign
Just tired of all this though, not sure at all the fight will happen. Is there anyone else who would be a big fight though
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
Alexander Povetkin but like the announcers i was listening to said the klitschkos are scared and don’t want to make that fight. 23-0 Russian. Ranked 2nd in the heavyweight division according to Ring magazine. There is also Alexander Dimitrenko 32-1 ukrainian ranked 5th.
milliondollardreams - February 18, 2012
He had previously ducked wladamir, so it's a little understandable if they're demanding with their negotiations, and he still has to get past marco 'captn' huck 1st
And how ‘big’ would that or the dimitrenko really be, would it sell big anywhere apart from germany?
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
Not many other options
This fight wasn’t particularly big. I think Chisora made a name for himself here and did more than what was expected. David Haye is probably the only “big” fight if you can call it that, but outside of that my guess would be to see whats up with Povetkin.
milliondollardreams - February 18, 2012
Haven’t read all the comments but anyone else in the UK get this for free?
StevenGiles - February 18, 2012
had to stream it
only other way was to pay for boxnation
Cunny - February 18, 2012
It was free for me though, I hear a rumour their pay system broke and everyone got it for nothing
StevenGiles - February 18, 2012
They had a freeview on for several hours before hand
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
I watched the whole fight for free
StevenGiles - February 18, 2012
Oh well, good for you
I was watching Cage Warriors 45. Managed a whole event in the time it took for the Boxing fight to start and go to decision. All finishes, one decision.
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
Elbows rule!
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
Why does everyone in Boxing seem like an asshole at the upper level?
now im not a boxing fan so i dont know a whole lot about boxing, but the only guy i can think of who isnt seen as a dbag is Pacman. the UFC has bad guys too sure like the Diaz brothers or Koscheck, but compared to Boxing thats almost nothing.
justsomehawkeyefan - February 18, 2012
everyone studied ali too closely
but got everything wrong
became all about talking shit and bragging
but forgot to be lighthearted and not take themselves seriously when they do it
Cunny - February 18, 2012
^ this
Cory Braiterman - February 19, 2012
More boxing, less WWE and TMZ gossip, BE.
Brookhouse may be BE’s savior. That’s if they don’t hire Scott Christ from Bad Left Hook. I feel bad for Christ. The best boxing analyst in the world and his blog gets shit for comments.
NoHo - February 19, 2012
I agree he’s pretty good, funny too, but I feel BLH does pretty well in the comment department.
