Fortunately for those with little interest in the Vladimir Klitschko vs Dereck Chisora Boxing match - either because it costs money or because it's Boxing - Cage Warriors 45 is airing live from London right now at MMA Junkie, and it's absolutely free.
Bound to excite on some level, Cage Warriors puts on some of the best rookies and emmerging talent from the United Kingdom, Europe and even the Americas.
So crack open a beer, grab a high carb potato based snake, and satiate your Mixed Martial Arts cravings from the other side of the pond.

Jack "The Stone" Mason
what a nickname
glorious is this card, my buddy told me about it apparently two stoppages from elbows on failed takedowns
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - February 18, 2012
Chris Fields came out to "Jailbreak" by Thin Lizzy, so I'm a fan.
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
Damn.. I was meaning to watch this shit. Guess I forgot.
Horselover Fat - February 18, 2012
I'm with you on the beer...
….but a potato based snake? Sounds a little exotic for me….
Thanks LeDuc
Ireland is attached to them UK isles in some way shape or form?
British
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - February 18, 2012
Independent
Included in the British Isles, but technically not the United Kingdom (since they broke from the Union), or Great Britain (which is the main island consisting of England, Wales and Scotland).
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
Splitting hairs now
It’s all the same m8
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - February 18, 2012
Nice head kick! Might have been stopped a little early though.
Horselover Fat - February 18, 2012
Nah, he was out of it
Didn’t look to retain guard and clinch up to recover. No movement from him other than an arm up which wasn’t defending any punches.
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
good stoppage
saved him from real damage even thou he caught himself
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - February 18, 2012
okay WTF with these nicknames "The Crazy Kid" WHEEL-LAH

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - February 18, 2012
anyone repping ATT watch out they are no joke
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - February 18, 2012
Just arrived, switching between this and klitschko-chisora
Feel out of place with no beer, crisps, or compensatory snack.
Good card?
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
Lots of early finishes, so no crowd complaints
They’re also not stalling between fights, keeping them running thick and fast.
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
is the Klitschko fight have a bunch of undercards
I should check that out
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - February 18, 2012
just the main bout which was delayed due to some arguments between the camps about hand wraps
Seems to be psychological ploys mainly
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
or rather that's all thats left, there were some fights b4hand, no other world title fights though
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
no edited montages promising violence? good stuff
Quite quick standups here in this bout, wheeler seems to be tiring himself out going for quite tough submissions
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
Seem to be given a fair amount of time on the ground actually
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
and when they stand it's the dude from USA isn't passing
well he is trying but getting shut down, and it stalls so they stand up
he gave them lots of time when it was a non guard situation
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - February 18, 2012
Murica is looking good with the takedowns / slams
other guy is not half bad with his JJ
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - February 18, 2012
Easy 10-9 for the Wrestlerf**ker
Nice slam to finish though.
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
And another one.
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
word, I have it scored like this as well
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - February 18, 2012
yep
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
If jumping in with your right hand doesn't work once, try, try again.
Still get taken down however
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
he just did that again
after UK guy got him back to full guard and then the ref stood them up
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - February 18, 2012
also just noticed your signature
hahahahahah
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - February 18, 2012
thanks
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
The battle of the whitest guys on earth.
Warbreezy - February 18, 2012
not the most exciting match
Very dominant, though. Reese gets this easy
Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
Jiu-Jit-Su! Jiu-Jit-Su! Jiu-Jit-Su!
/trollface
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
are they yelling FREEBIRD?
Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
Does this class as a wrestlefucking?
It was mostly just control from reese, he got dominant position on the back and mount a few times but they were mainly from wheeler’s submission attempts
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
Yes, pretty much
James Reese looked partly dangerous in the first round, then just controlled for the last two.
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
flip that McGregor vs. O’ Keeffe result
axemurderer138 - February 18, 2012
Thanks
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
chisora-klitschko started
1st rd strange, vitali going around with his hands down, kept range, not sure if he’s being dismissive or masterful
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
both imo
Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
AND HERE........... WE................ GO!!!!!!
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
!!! me and my buddies like to judge books by their covers
and when we saw the heavyweights we said tubby gonna knock him out or the big bulky guy would take it to dec
and then I saw the heat the big fella had on his hands it was only a matter of time
also Brents is sponsored by a towing company! I wonder if he tows in his spare time
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - February 18, 2012
Interesting, the short tubby wrestler outstrikes and submits the tall striker/submission artist
Must say don’t know enough about these guys b4hand, but llorent looked pretty bad, especially defending the sub
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
yeah, he framed out but the big boy had him rocked, and all his weight on him
as soon as they flattened you could see him get on deck to tap
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - February 18, 2012
yay heavyweight mma!
Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
personally I love heavwyweight MMA
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - February 18, 2012
Well, this event may be one of the quickest in recent memory.
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
That's why prelims are good, as long as they're also filmed
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
wall n stall at the moment
Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
tap2strikes
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - February 18, 2012

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - February 18, 2012
Nah
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
also is USA 2-0 so far or what?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - February 18, 2012
Yes
I don’t think there are any other US fighters on the card though.
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
1-0 to the irish?
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
2-0 I think
McGregor and Fields, they’re both Irish right?
KJ Gould - February 18, 2012
McGregor lost though.
IS that Dave ‘Irish’ Kelly though?
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
Or Dave 'The Iron Giant' Keeley
UK MMA MAN - February 18, 2012
KJ's got it right...
Conor McGregor and Chris Fields are both Irish and both won by TKO. Conor knocked his opponent out with his back to the cage, defending the takedown with several hard elbows to the temple of O’Keefe. Steve crumbled to the ground in the clinch.
Both train in SBG Ireland under John Kavanagh with a great team, certainly the best in Ireland and one of the best in the UK. Gunnar Nelson trains there for his fights also as well as a good pro team with a great record in Europe. And that’s all I can remember!
