Glad to see you guys were able to reschedule Martin Kampmann, he’s one of my favorite fighters, what with me being part Danish, and all.
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
everybody likes the hitman mang....
danish or non danish, we know the guy always brings it, imo he beat both sheilds and deigo.
carmine99 - February 21, 2012
WE AREEEEEEEEEEEEEE LIVE!
Matt Bishop - February 21, 2012
Bishop, what do you give Elimination Chamber on a 5 star scale?
mountaineers101 - February 21, 2012
More than likely, he’s busy duct taping his headset back together…
SteveevaD - February 21, 2012
7am GMT/8am CET
MattParker117 - February 21, 2012
Please cue up the Lex Luger “I’m pissed now” byte.
mountaineers101 - February 21, 2012
Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo……………………..
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
Brian needs a burner phone just for this show....
SteveevaD - February 21, 2012
He's got the reaction time of Joe Rogan on April 20th.
San Jose Sharks Fan - February 21, 2012
Either of you played UFC 3 yet? Rampage just blasted me in my first title fight in Career Mode.
MattParker117 - February 21, 2012
Why would you start a UFC career with Ryan Bader?
SteveevaD - February 21, 2012
Bishop called the current generation (360 / PS3) “next generation”.. they’ve been around for half a decade, you know
Horselover Fat - February 21, 2012
Please worry about getting a new headset first, Brian.
mountaineers101 - February 21, 2012
DON'T GET A WII
DON’T DO IT!!
Horselover Fat - February 21, 2012
Wii is cool for like 3 days....
and now with XBOX Kinnect, you can do all the interactive stuff, which is much better on Kinnect anyway.
SteveevaD - February 21, 2012
That would be my second point: don’t buy Kinect!
Horselover Fat - February 21, 2012
XBox 360 with the Kinect.
Makes the Wii’s stuff look like crap. Full motion.
San Jose Sharks Fan - February 21, 2012
Yeah, the Kinect is actually legit.
ElliotMatheny - February 21, 2012
WiiU!!!!!!!!!!!
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
Just wait for the WiiU Bishop!
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
WiiU is the next Nintendo console
HD graphics, etc.
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
It's portable
ElliotMatheny - February 21, 2012
You can take the controller tablet into the crapper with you to keep playing!
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
Yeah, that is a big feather in it's cap
ElliotMatheny - February 21, 2012
Plus you can get the UFC Trainer game for the Kinect as well
Then Greg Jackson can tell you how to throw punches, elbows, and leg kicks.
San Jose Sharks Fan - February 21, 2012
Practice hitting pads that aren’t there :P
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
don’t bother with the Vita
MattParker117 - February 21, 2012
"These vidya games!"
You sound like Hank Hill, Bishop.
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
GoldenEye on N64 will always be awesome.
SteveevaD - February 21, 2012
Bishop, WWF No Mercy or WWF Wrestlemania 2000? Go!
mountaineers101 - February 21, 2012
Quick!
Turn this in to another pro wrestling show!
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
Are you kidding??
WCW vs NWO all the way!
San Jose Sharks Fan - February 21, 2012
Not bad, sir. Not bad at all.
mountaineers101 - February 21, 2012
N64 Goldeneye is best with multiplayer
Single player is dated though.
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
Goldeneye holds up. My buddy and I still play it to this day.
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
In MMA News KJ Noons has yet to submit his medical paperwork for his Thomson fight (which is next week)
http://mmajunkie.com/news/27513/k-j-noons-not-yet-medically-cleared-to-fight-at-strikeforce-tate-vs-rousey.mma
MattParker117 - February 21, 2012
Never had an N64 (PS1 man back in the day)
MattParker117 - February 21, 2012
The remake of Goldeneye for the XBox is great
I bought it and set the bar really high as to what it better be and it far exceeded what I hoped for.
San Jose Sharks Fan - February 21, 2012
You’ll want a larger hard drive on the 360 so you can download demos, the downloadable xbox live arcade games, downloadable content, etc.
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
Go with the 250GB you’ll need the space once your fiance discovers the Xbox Live Arcade.
MattParker117 - February 21, 2012
Why we're tripping down video game memory lane here....
who remembers GameShark and Game Genie? Good times.
SteveevaD - February 21, 2012
Still have my code book for my NES Game Genie
San Jose Sharks Fan - February 21, 2012
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
You want to get a hard drive so you can install your games. That makes the system run more quietly and puts less stress on the hardware.
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
Also The Simpsons Arcade game was just released on the Xbox Live Arcade
Oh memories.
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
Duke Nukem 3D!
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
Brian has a N64 level of connection on his cell phone and Skype.
mountaineers101 - February 21, 2012
You can get indie games, older games, remakes, demos, etc.
Horselover Fat - February 21, 2012
Xbox 360 also has access to ESPN3, Netflix, Hulu Plus... etc.
Plus you can play with all of us, your adoring fans, on Xbox Live!
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
a UFC app
San Jose Sharks Fan - February 21, 2012
Oh yeah, I forgot about that!
You can order UFC PPVs on Xbox Live now too.
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
I've had 3 XBOX failures
Moved to PS3 and have never looked back.
BKdroid - February 21, 2012
I have a Playstation.
But I got it mostly because I needed a bluray player, and figured I could at least play games while I’m at it. But I don’t play games unfortunately. My brother works for ubisoft and sends me free games all the time, but they’re still in their original plastic wrapper collecting dust.
pud333 - February 21, 2012
We can set up a forwarding address to my place if you’d like
BKdroid - February 21, 2012
When timmeh comes on
ask him if he has any fights upcoming, since it’s become obvious that he won’t be getting back into the ufc anytime soon
Cory Braiterman - February 21, 2012
Ask him if he pays to get his rascal professionally detailed.
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
lol. Brian is shunned by Silvia!
pud333 - February 21, 2012
Nothing like failing live on the radio.
pud333 - February 21, 2012
Pre-emptive UFC 144 talk even though there'll be a preview episode this week!
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
Give 'em hell, Matty
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
I’M PISSED NOW!
mountaineers101 - February 21, 2012
Want me to call Bishop?
I sound like much more of an asshole than you do.
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
I’m still having fun…. weeeeeeeee!
SteveevaD - February 21, 2012
Nick Diaz is on the NSAC agenda tomorrow
http://www.fightersonlymag.com/content/news/15657-nsac-to-discuss-nick-diaz-suspension-tomorrow
How long do you reckon the suspension will be?
MattParker117 - February 21, 2012
1 year since it's his second pop.
But I wouldn’t be surprised if he manages to get a reduced sentence somehow.
pud333 - February 21, 2012
9 months since he's appealing
Cory Braiterman - February 21, 2012
I admit, despite this show being mostly about nothing, I am highly entertained. I wonder what that says about me?
pud333 - February 21, 2012
You like Seinfeld.
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
I do indeed.
pud333 - February 21, 2012
I enjoy not talking exclusively about MMA all the time.
Matt Bishop - February 21, 2012
Yeah, it’s all good.
pud333 - February 21, 2012
But did Brian get to see Daniel Bryan vs. Santino Marella? No, he did not.
mountaineers101 - February 21, 2012
So was that Brian in LayzieTheSavage's most recent event video?
Youtube Sensation hanging out in the Throwdown cap whilst buying chocolates for Dan Hardy?
SteveevaD - February 21, 2012
here's a link to the article
Link
Brian Hemminger - February 21, 2012
No article.
Unless I am missing something…
pud333 - February 21, 2012
my apologies
http://www.freep.com/article/20120219/SPORTS18/202190645?fb_ref=artsharetop&fb_source=profile_oneline
Brian Hemminger - February 21, 2012
Thanks
pud333 - February 21, 2012
Rogers was DQ'd.
Not a NC.
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
Kampmann is one of my favsies
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
Kampmann/McFedries was also one of the first UFC fights I ever saw
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
Him versus Alves should be a great clash of striking styles.
SteveevaD - February 21, 2012
Yeah, I was a huge fan of his before ever training at XC.
And then I got to take Muay Thai from him once a week for a few months… it was gnarly. The guy knows SO much about fighting, one of the most technically brilliant guys in the game IMO
ElliotMatheny - February 21, 2012
I wonder if Bishop gives Brian a stern fatherly talking to during times like these...
“Get your shit together, Hemminger!”
“You need to get this headset crap under control!”
“I so wish I could F-5 you through Skype right now”
SteveevaD - February 21, 2012
I never wondered, I just assumed.
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
Holy crap, where the heck have I been? Kampmann fought Story?
Shit, that was on the Shogun/Henderson. I watched the fight live, but I can’t remember that fight at all. It’s the only one on that main card I don’t remember.
pud333 - February 21, 2012
I'm getting old.
pud333 - February 21, 2012
Anyone who says they remember that entire event
wasn’t really there :)
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
True.
pud333 - February 21, 2012
seriously
the last two fights made that entire night a total blur
Earl Montclair - February 21, 2012
Well that, and all the booze and quaaludes.
PostScript: Re: Dan Henderson and what to do with him, I agree with anyone who says No to a rematch with Shogun. The second fight could never live up to the first, and would likely only detract from it, while doing nothing for the division standings.
SteveevaD - February 21, 2012
I'll be interested to see if Kampmann maybe tries to take him down and use his jiu-jitsu
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
Kampmann’s ground game is so much better than he gets credit for. He doesn’t really have the striking advantage or power to outstrike everyone. I’d like to see him try to take things to the ground more often.
pud333 - February 21, 2012
Those are my thoughts too
His BJJ is really underrated. He’s a great technical striker, but doesn’t have the power to go toe-to-toe with Alves. I think he holds a big advantage in terms of the ground game, as long as he can avoid being pounded on.
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
Alves is a very tough stylistic match-up for him. Does he even get taken down by guys that aren’t wrestlers?
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
Kampmann has fantastic takedown defense
80% tdd
ElliotMatheny - February 21, 2012
I meant Alves. He gets taken down by good wrestlers, but Kampmann is not a wrestler.
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
Karo, Lytle, Hironaka, and Spencer Fisher all took him down
They aren’t wrestlers. And Kampmann has pretty strong takedowns.
ElliotMatheny - February 21, 2012
Thing about Alves is he's really tough to hold down sometimes.
So we’ll see.
pud333 - February 21, 2012
He does.
He took Story down
ElliotMatheny - February 21, 2012
I can’t remember that fight, so I’ll take your word for it, lol.
pud333 - February 21, 2012
Yep, took him down 3 times
ElliotMatheny - February 21, 2012
I’ve got something to watch (er, re-watch) tonight, then.
pud333 - February 21, 2012
It's a good fight IMO
ElliotMatheny - February 21, 2012
I'm torn. I'd like to see both guys go on a bit of a run.
pud333 - February 21, 2012
so i haven't been listening
what happened with timmeh
Cory Braiterman - February 21, 2012
We had technical issues on our side, unfortunately, that prevented us from calling.
Matt Bishop - February 21, 2012
*Shakes fist angrily at BTR*
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
lol
Brian Hemminger - February 21, 2012
wat
Cory Braiterman - February 21, 2012
His Rascal dies on the way back to his house. He was at Curves, where he currently “trains.”
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
I am so excited for this card.
But it is a shame that no one – again – will see Frankie Edgar fight. People missed Edgar/Maynard II and III, probably two of the best fights in any trilogy to date. Edgar/Henderson really should have been on a FOX show, cause I think Edgar can really be a star.
pud333 - February 21, 2012
it wont make him a star when Ben strangles him for the belt
Earl Montclair - February 21, 2012
Ha!
You wish! WAR Frankie!
pud333 - February 21, 2012
sig/av bet?
Earl Montclair - February 21, 2012
Sure. State your guidelines.
pud333 - February 21, 2012
loser keeps the sig/av until the day of UFC 145
Earl Montclair - February 21, 2012
Damn that's a long time.
I’ve had mine for a month and it feels like it’s been AGES.
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
April is a long time for you to be embarassed. So sure, I got no problems with that! lol.
pud333 - February 21, 2012
its that far away? holy shit um
make it until the day of Nog vs Mauler
Earl Montclair - February 21, 2012
That’s april 14. That’s better.
pud333 - February 21, 2012
okay cool
from Saturday until then, your avatar will be this:
Earl Montclair - February 21, 2012
Ah shit.
sure. hangon, let me find something quick.
pud333 - February 21, 2012
the sig part will take me some time but we will see each other before then I am sure to finalize the details
Earl Montclair - February 21, 2012
Here's yours.
Yeah, no prob about the sig. We’ll get that settled later.
pud333 - February 21, 2012
lol shit
Earl Montclair - February 21, 2012
Frankie better not let me down.
pud333 - February 21, 2012
He's got that great underdog story
but he doesn’t have the personality to be a star.
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
big opportunity for Bartimus and Boestch
MattParker117 - February 21, 2012
Brian’s doing radio while working his dayjob as a dishwasher at Chili’s.
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
haha
MMA actually is my day job
Brian Hemminger - February 21, 2012
I'm jelly =(
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
I also approve of Jimmy John's
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
Jimmy John's sandwhiches are pretty badass
ElliotMatheny - February 21, 2012
this is true
Earl Montclair - February 21, 2012
Jimmy Peppers!
SteveevaD - February 21, 2012
Bishop is trying out for a job on NFL Live with his
“C’mon, man!”
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
I've never been a huge fan of JJ's...
I prefer a local place here named Jersey Giant.
Matt Bishop - February 21, 2012
Local places are almost always going to be better than chains
But for my dollars, Jimmy John’s is top notch. Their bread is so good.
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
KJ Noons is still techincally not cleared to fight as of two hours ago according to Junkie.
MattParker117 - February 21, 2012
Brian needs Muzzy.
Machiel Van - February 21, 2012
lol. Brian got raptured away or something.
pud333 - February 21, 2012
Brian sounds like he's broadcasting from a raquetball court
SteveevaD - February 21, 2012
Perfect ending time!
I had to bounce to go make lunch and get ready for work. Great show guys.
crazedfan - February 21, 2012
