All fighters made weight for UFC 143 Friday, including the two men competing for the UFC interim Welterweight Championship in Nick Diaz and Carlos Condit.
Both Diaz and Condit weighed in at 169 pounds and there was no incidents at the weigh-ins that required a pull-apart. In general, it was a fairly low-key affair with only Josh Koscheck and Mike Pierce getting slightly testy.

Yeah I think its probably more of a case of Cole being really bad in that fight than Caceres being really good. All the same though Cole was a former WEC champ and before he came to the UFC most of his losses were to top tier guys (Faber, Pulver, Omigawa, Michael MacDonald)

Why doesn't Nelson just get in shape?
How would it hurt his abilities if he lost 40 pounds of fat and put on 20 or so pounds of muscle? He’d be quicker, more agile, be in better health, be better conditioned, and so on. It’s hard to believe that a guy who makes his living as a professional athlete in a combat sport would not be in great shape.

Youu always see guys chugging electrolytes and all this other crap as soon as they step off the scales. When I see that, I know they had to cut a lot at the last minute to get to the limit. They basically drained to nothing and have to get as much back as they can as quickly as possible or else theyll be sluggish at the fight.
Water on the other hand tells me that they have been hovering around the weight limit for a while, maybe a day or two, and that come fight time there isnt going to be any issues with cardio being drained because of the cut.
Carlos is in great shape for this fight
